Dr Summer Bateiha
Researcher
Dr. Summer Bateiha received her PhD in Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum with emphasis on Mathematics Education from the University of Oklahoma in 2010. Through her teaching and research, she explores the interdisciplinary connections between mathematics education, literature, social issues, and art and design. Her current research focuses on decolonizing mathematics curriculum through the arts.
Sadia Mir
Researcher
Sadia Mir is an Associate Professor of English at VCUarts Qatar. Her practice-based research explores the use of storytelling as pedagogy, community writing, and multimodal documentary media practice. Her practice is interdisciplinary in nature, and often engages community. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia, and an MFA in Documentary Media Studies from Ryerson University.

Law Alsobrook is an Associate Professor of Graphic Design at VCUarts Qatar. He has an active interest in visual narrative studies and production, design semiotics, visual communication and their conjunction with regard to media and the making of meaning. At present, his research focuses on the role of narrative, event, place, and memory.
Dr Stacy Reeder

Dr. Stacy Reeder currently serves as the dean of the Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education. Dr. Reeder has served as a faculty member and administrator in the College of Education for the past 16 years. Previously, she served as chair of the Department of Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum, where she currently holds the rank of professor, teaching courses in both the graduate and undergraduate mathematics education program.
Ghada Ali

Ghada Ali is a digital artist and graphic designer, with a long-standing passion for illustration and narrative art. Her recent work revolves around character creation and the development of their stories, exploring topics that vary from self-discovery to imaginative forms of emotional expression.
Lana Mohamed
Administrative Assistant
Lana Mohamed is an interior designer and a lover of the arts. Her recent works have incorporated her Egyptian heritage to create an environment that combines with the aspect of modernity. She explores different mediums of design through differentiating programs, materials and techniques to create dynamic designs.
Shouq Ali
Research Assistant
Shouq Ali is a rising Junior majoring in Painting & Printmaking at VCUarts Qatar. She has worked with traditional and digital tools, most of her artworks are centered around portraits, realism, and conveying emotions. She is always interested in trying new materials and techniques within the art field.
Hissa Al-Khuzaei
Research Assistant
Hissa Al-Khuzaei is an artist based in Doha, Majoring in interior design at Virginia Commonwealth University Qatar, she is a creative that enjoys experimenting and taking on new challenges by learning new mediums such as Digital Art and Mixed Media. Al-Khuzaei is inspired by nature; she draws live portraits and creates worlds through art.
